A Sisterhood of Survivors

This year's Board of Directors includes Carol, Cindy, Debbie, Karen, & Valerie. These representatives make decisions on behalf of the team and are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the team and compliance with all organizational requirements. Roles include President/Captain, Treasurer, Secretary, VP/Manager, & Membership, among other duties. The Board is supported by coaches & other leaders including a number of committee chairpersons.

Board members have participated in races within the US, Canada, Taiwan,  Spain and New Zealand. They work with subcommittees to support recruitment, race management, fundraising, and all other responsibilities necessary for maintaining a working team.

This is a racing team with the bonus of being a sisterhood. We practice, we race, and we do what sisters do! We support, we comfort, and we encourage each other to thrive, each in our own unique way.

Nothing about dragon boating resonated with me - I don't know why I tried it, but I'm  glad I did. I'm not a morning person,  an athlete,  a water or beach person, and I don't like exercise! But...being out on the boat in the morning with my pink sisters brings me such joy! I love the feel of getting my exercise done early, having my "pink fix" and kicking off my day on a dragon boat!
