Oh Baby (Long Beach)

The LA Pink Dragons had a fantastic turnout for this race with 28 members on our roster.  Almost everyone raced two or more heats, experiencing both 500M and 200M distances.  We were the only all-female team at the festival, which featured 37 other mixed gender teams. We were thrilled to earn a silver medal in the Div E finals, Mixed race (males and females in all boats other than our all-female crew) with a race time of 1 minute and 7 seconds.

Congratulations to our newbies Martha, Debbie and Sharilyn who participated in their first competition.  Our newly minted steersperson Tana did a great job in spite of challenging winds and Diana Barnes also helped out with steering.  TK and Lindsey were our callers.  Thanks to all of our Pink Sisters who make this team run and enable us to participate in festivals:  steering committee, communication, funding, race management, equipment and food coordination, warm-ups, cool-downs, and countless other tasks.
